Thank you Kailey. I will wait to hear from you.
While I await further response, could you direct me to any official statements Canada has made, regarding the issue of NSA spying, that you might be aware of? When I visit the Canada web site and search for NSA, or spying, I see no resources, nothing to indicate that anything is at all amiss.
When I search Canada’s Government site for the keyword “NSA”, I am taken to a contractor information page, and a page that shows basic contract details of communications supply equipment, detailing supply contracts between Canada and the NSA. You can see for yourself, here:
The security implications of a supply/purchase relationship, in this context, especially with regards to telecom equipment, are of staggering significance. It would almost certainly make sense to include this issue in your inquiry. If Canada has indeed purchased telecom or computer equipment from the NSA or its affiliates, portions of Canada’s private communications networks may have been compromised.
Thank you for your assistance with this matter.
